A cool place to land
Some comfort is simply a lower temperature.
Heat makes dogs restless - pacing, panting, searching for a patch of floor that hasn't held the day's warmth. This gives them somewhere to settle instead, cooling on contact and staying that way without water, ice, or power. It travels as easily as it lies down: across the lounge room floor, tucked into a crate, or spread over the back seat for the drive to wherever you're headed next.
